Pat Merrill began publishing a print version of ENcourage Newsletter more than eight years ago, utilizing her professional background in the publishing field combined with her first-hand experience with panic disorder/agoraphobia.

Realizing the far-reaching potential of the Internet, Pat enlisted the help of her husband Will in creating this ENcourage Connection web site in 1998. Both are dedicated to bringing greater public awareness and personal understanding of anxiety disorders.

Though no longer publishing a printed newsletter, Pat feels her role is to act primarily as an information gatherer; thus, she is able to provide quality material to assist others in their quest for knowledge in this arena. She takes no particular position on the "best way to recover" and, therefore, is able to present a broad array of viewpoints, opinions, and options. The Internet is the perfect forum for this.

Originally having studied to become a nutritionist with a combined degree in journalism, Pat remains active in nutritional studies and has become interested in the network marketing field with companies who sell only high quality, specialized products and educate consumers with a goal of optimum health.

Pat resides in Arizona with her husband, daughter and several much-loved pets.
