Hi Pat, I work in midtown Manhattan, and have had my fair share of attacks in the office building, on trains, subways, in large crowds, elevators, etc. But that's where I work and I'm not going to let this stop me from being productive (Been working in NYC for 12 years and traveling regularly for 9-including two trips to Australia). I just did a work trip, took a drive from NY to Rhode Island. wasn't 100 percent comfortable on the solo drive up, but I just acknowledged what I'm feeling and it seems to help alleviate the anxiety and panic. I actually went the last two weeks almost panic attack free ( I use the term panic light). Aside from the typical visits to a psychologist , I've also been reading Jon Barry's book "Panic Away" and found some great thoughts that have helped tremendously as I get through this second wave... I will beat this again, and we all can. Have faith in yourself, and know that anxiety and panic are naturally occurring feelings in your body. But someone who gets attacks is just more in tuned with that feeling. Also, remember that attacks always have an end and you get past them every time. Hang in there, and may we all have days full of relaxation, positive thoughts, and peace ahead.
