Maria I completely agree with what you just mentioned about people saying "get over it"...They would never say such as thing to a diabetic or someone with high blood pressue :(
That's where a lot of people just "don't get it".

The first book I ever read was by the late Claire Weekes. After that I used all her books as my bibles and she brought me back from the brink. My panic and agoraphobia almost tipped me over. You can borrow her books and tapes from the local library they are always about.
I still suffer from panic attacks from time to time but I found that by following a lot of what Claire Weekes wrote in her books it gave me the "courage" to go out...little by little. My Dr actually "banned" me from supermarkets for 6 months. I would just walk to the corner deli for bread or milk; (my hubby did the weekly shopping for me)....then I would go a little further as the weeks and months went by.
I also joined a support group and stayed with them for over 17 years and also took up Transcendental Meditation which helped me immensely.
Please keep us posted...and come back whenever you feel you need to vent. Every little bit of support helps...it all adds up.
Kerry
