ENcourage Connection

It is what it is.

Nothing more, nothing less, nothing overly dramatic, catastrophic, regal, plain nor fancy. It is what we make it out to be.

If let be, left to come in waves, it leaves without causing a dent. If controlled, managed, feared, inhaled, it causes life altering days and nights never to be without millions of pock marked dents.

If it hears a harsh judgmental voice, it stays and multiplies. If it hears logic, it tries to outsmart. But if it hears a soothing voice, an accepting tone, it is cajoled into insignificance.

With help, it can ruin lives. It can hermit a soul and body, it can erode a body like nothing on earth, it can and will bleed a being until it is leached dry or self.

On its own? It does not have the power to exist. On its own, it cannot grow up.

Now that it's grown into a second self, into a shadow, into a life, there is but one thing to do. Tap the bench next over and say "hello friend, you're back" and watch it shrivel into insignificance.

It is what it is, nothing more, nothing less, and so it is.
