Posted by Anna Banana on September 09, 2009 at 12:22:16: Hi everybody, I made it! I went to Ireland by plane, and came back today! everything's been fine and really good. On the way there, when we got to the airport I was so scared I even started to cry. I felt uncapable of getting inside an aeroplane, I was freakin' scared. But then David suggested me to write down my feelings, and it really helped. I was able to get in the plane at least, although the first hour or so was really difficult for me. Everytime I noticed a little movement I expected the plane to fall! then I managed to relax and by the time we got to Ireland I was already feeling fine. The days there have been great. The city of Galway is really beautiful and peaceful, and the landscapes are impressive. The only negative note was when David got a stomach bug and had to spend a whole day in bed. I started to worry a little, but I spent a lot of time wandering around on my own, and that felt good too. Something very strange happened with one restaurant where we ate twice, though. It was a really nice place, low light, chilling out music, good and comforting food. Despite that, when we went there the first day I noticed panic growing in me. I tried to find the reason but I couldn't, and eventually I managed to relax. Well, yesterday we went back, and believe me, I didn't remember the panic at all. So we sat down, we took pictures of the place, and all of a sudden I realised I was on the verge of a panic attack again. How weird! David says that it might have to do with the food (it was Asian), but it makes no sense to me. Anyway, once again I managed to calm down, but it was weird. Today on the aeroplane I was feeling lots better than the other day, and I've taken pictures of the clouds and enjoyed the views. I feel so good right now! I just wanted to share it with you, and to thank you all for being there. Anna

Strange about that place - I know that I get panicky in closed places or places I can't see the exits - maybe it was subconcious but it is awesome that you moved through it. So happy for you!!!!!! Wow! Congratulations! What an accomplishment! I can't get NEAR a plane, much less across the pond! You should feel so GREAT! I'd say you got it licked! Heheh! BTW, the reason you felt panicky with the Asian food is probably the Monosodium Glutamate. It makes me panicky, too, so I've taken it out of my diet. Asian food is loaded with it. Congrats again!

I didn't know that, but it makes sense. I was completely comfortable there, and after starting eating I felt panicky. It's good to know the reason! I'm from Spain, so I've only crossed a very small part of the sea to visit Ireland. But still... yes! I did it! I do feel great, believe me. Thanks again :-)
