Posted by meg on August 02, 2009 at 12:36:50: I often thought that many of my fears concerning panic could be squelched if I just had a front row seat in the cockpit. I begrudgingly took a subway ride during my "subway terror days" and was lucky enough to have the driver open the door and explain the process to me. It was late, there were not many people on the train, and because his door was cracked open a bit, he overheard me panicking with a kind friend who was willing to take the ride with me. One of the biggest problems for me is the feeling of losing control. Anyway, you are gem. Thanks as always.

To sit up front with an expert, very informative...Life has a way doesn't it? You know I never really thought of being afraid of the actual airplane's capacities. For me it's all about the fear of fear. I'd be "trapped" not able to turn 'round and as you said, I wouldn't be able to control my journey. Ack, the mind games! Thanks for being here Meg! :)

I think for me it is the fear of fear itself also. Funny, I think these hives I have are in actuality, bites of some sort. I am always on eggshells lately...uggg.
