notetick warning

Posted by john on May 09, 2007 at 19:07:04:

I hate it when people forward bogus warnings, and I've even done it myself a couple times unintentionally ... But this one is real, and it's important. So please send this warning to everyone on your e-mail list.

If someone comes to your front door saying they are checking for ticks due to the warm weather and asks you to take your clothes off and dance around with your arms up, DO NOT DO IT!! THIS IS A SCAM!! They only want to see you naked.

I wish I'd gotten this yesterday. I feel so stupid.

Hahaha! I thought you were going to tell us something important! :-) My boyfriend and I just got a dog, but mostly him, and he lives on a farm, and the dog gets lots of ticks!
--< Actually, I do have a tip, if anyone wants one:
My bo bought a book with tips to keep insects at bay, and the one for ticks on dogs is to get the whole plant of basil, and soak it in water for at least 2 hours. Then, strain the water, and place the water in a sprayer, and spray the dog well. Allow to dry. If the dog doesn't like the sprayer, just soak a towel or pour it on them, and put it on them that way. (Our dog was very fearful of the sprayer!...Poor Baby!*)
