Thank you for your interest in ENcourage Connection. ENcourage Newsletter began as a subscription (by mail) publication that has reached many nationwide -- and around the world -- for more than eight years. We published our last issue of ENcourage Newsletter in April 1999.

ENcourage was created to be of interest to those working toward recovery from panic disorder and/or agoraphobia, as well as to treatment professionals in the field. Those with agoraphobia and other anxiety disorders often experience a myriad of symptoms and related conditions including, but not limited to, panic attacks, obsessive thinking, feelings of unreality, fears of losing control, stress-related illnesses and depression. In some cases, the various anxiety disorders will overlap; for example, someone who is agoraphobic may also be experiencing obsessive-compulsive disorder. Acute anxiety and its many manifestations is the common thread found amongst our readers.

Our newsletter format was designed to be "professional yet friendly." It was unique and broader in scope than most newsletters of its kind -- we explored both traditional and non-traditional approaches to healing modalities, and articles were written by both peers and treatment professionals including the experts and well-known authors in the field.

We found that ENcourage Newsletter was well-received and much appreciated over the years. Here are just a few of the comments sent in by past subscribers of ENcourage Newsletter:

  • "The newsletter helps me a lot. I leave one month out until the next month comes. That way I can read it anytime I need to.

  • "I like your concept to promote activities that aid in the involvement in life -- and I like the name of the newsletter, with the emphasis on the word 'courage.'

  • "We find your newsletter interesting, informative, bright and easy to read.

  • "I read ENcourage the moment I received it and was impressed about the many opportunities for folks who experience agoraphobia or panic attacks.

  • "The light qualities (puzzle, etc.) mixed with the more clinical information is a wonderful balance.

  • "I'm very impressed -- your materials and content are very professional.

  • "Your positive encouragement has already inspired some growth in me...

  • "It helps so much to know I'm not alone. Thank you!"

Now, we bring all this to our web visitors around the world. And, with the Internet, we are able to offer interaction with others via ENcourage Community. ENcourage Community is our popular Anxiety/Panic Message Board. Here are a few comments from our visitors:
